Here are two situations in which it might be sensible to get CCTV cameras for your home.

You've started running an at-home business that involves clients visiting your property

If you've started running an at-home business that will require clients to visit you, then it would be worth your while to invest in CCTV cameras for the areas of your property that your clients will need to park their vehicles in and walk through. You could experience several benefits from doing this. For example, it could prove useful if a client should ever injure themselves whilst on your property. If they were to claim the injury was caused by your negligence, you could check the CCTV footage to find out if this was the case.

It could also make your clients feel safer. For example, if they need to leave their belongings in your waiting room whilst they have their appointment with you in your office, there are cameras recording the waiting room, and so there is far less chance of an intruder sneaking in and grabbing their coat or handbag whilst they're interacting with you in another room. New clients who are unfamiliar with your services and are perhaps nervous about visiting you in your home instead of at a traditional office might also feel more comfortable if they see that there is a CCTV. This is typically an indication that you operate a professional business and care about security.

You've bought a high-value car that you need to park on your driveway

If you've splurged on a beautiful, high-value car but you don't have a garage, and therefore need to park the vehicle on the driveway, then you should get CCTV cameras. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, a valuable car that's left outside overnight instead of in a locked garage will be more vulnerable, and there is a chance that thieves might try to steal it. If you put some cameras on the exterior walls near your driveway, however, these cameras should deter most thieves and record the actions of anyone who choose to proceed with breaking into the vehicle.

Secondly, having a highly valuable car parked on your driveway could signal to thieves that you are wealthy and may have other valuable items inside your property. Because of this, it's important to not only put CCTV on the walls that face your driveway where your car will be parked, but to also put them near the house's front and back entryways, too, as this should deter thieves who draw this conclusion and are tempted to break into your home.
